Kids’ Cooking Classes

Our kids’ cooking classes were so popular last year, we decided to offer even more. This year, there will be four opportunities for children ages 5 to 12 to experience the versatility of vegetables and herbs. Classes will be taught by Chef Fest alumni Jane Wild and Lindsey Fuquen. Kids will learn how to peel and chop spring vegetables to build their own delicious “tacos.” The chefs will also teach them how to use vegetables as natural, edible dyes for eggs, plus a few spring-time egg dishes. At the end of the class, kids will be given a tote bag of tasty treats and handy cooking tools.

If you have the next Food Network star living in your home, you won’t want them to miss this experience. The 30-minute classes start at 12:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Tickets are $25. You must have a ticket to Chef Fest to participate. Kids 8 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.

Soft Serve Station

Know what goes great with the tasty dishes being served up by our chefs? Ice cream! Our Soft Serve Station featuring unique flavors dreamed up by our farmers and five of our star chefs will be available to lucky ticket holders. Tickets are $10. You must have a ticket to Chef Fest to participate.
