We’ve Grown Something Special, and There’s Still Time to Plant Your Roots

We’ve Grown Something Special, and There’s Still Time to Plant Your Roots

When we first welcomed homebuyers to Harvest Green in 2015, we offered something new to the Houston residential landscape. We wanted to create a place where neighbors could connect over farm-fresh food, spend more time outside, and feel part of a community. Today, we are heading toward our final home sales, but there is still time to get to know us and find your place. How did we get here? Let’s take a look.

A Little Farm-Fresh History

We began with a fresh take on neighborhood living with Johnson Development asking, “What if a working farm could bring a community together?”

Not long after, Harvest Green was introduced to Houston-area buyers as the area’s first “agrihood.” Our first model homes opened in 2015, giving homebuyers a look at a community built around growing food and growing families.

We’ve matured quite a bit since then. An expansion brought us to approximately 1,700 acres, giving more families the chance to call Harvest Green home. Along the way, we’ve added gathering places, recreational spaces, and plenty of ways for neighbors to become friends.

Yes, We Really Do Have a Farm

Our 12-acre Village Farm is a big part of what makes us, well, us. It’s a working farm that brings fresh produce and hands-on experience right to the table. You don’t even need a green thumb.

Our residents enjoy opportunities like our Farm Club, Veggie Share program, weekly farmers market, and Farm Fun Days. You can get involved in a little or a lot. Maybe you’re curious about growing your own vegetables. Maybe you’d rather leave the farming to our skilled full-time Farm Educators and enjoy the results. That’s okay — there’s room for both.

Weekend Plans Close to Home

Some days call for a morning workout. Others call for a lounge chair by the pool. Some days call for both.

At The Farmhouse, you’ll find a resort-style pool, splash pad, fitness center, event hall to rent, playground, and gathering space. Around the community, our parks, playgrounds, trails, lakes, fishing pier, tennis and volleyball courts, and dog park give you plenty of reasons to get outside.

The Slice, our second amenity complex, offers a citrus-inspired theme and plenty of ways to play. There are two grapefruit-slice-shaped pools, two water slides, a splash pad, and shady spots to take a break from the action. There’s also a pickleball court, event lawn, food-truck space, and a tractor-themed playground.

Harvest Green even has a restaurant onsite. Messina Hof Restaurant and Winery is a great place to relax at the end of the day or celebrate a special occasion. Around the community, residents enjoy an abundance of nearby shopping, dining, coffee shops and everyday conveniences, making it easy to find everything they need just minutes from home.

Our lifestyle director helps to bring it all together with community events and activities. You can join in, meet someone new, or simply find something to do without spending a whole day getting there.

Don’t Forget Our Onsite Schools

Want an easy school drop-off? Or maybe no school drop-off at all? We’ve got you covered with onsite schools. That means kids can walk or ride their bikes. Our community is served by award-winning Fort Bend ISD. Onsite schools include Neill Elementary, Bowie Middle School, and Travis High School. Some students are zoned to nearby Malala Elementary. Our Farm Educators volunteer at Neill Elementary, with monthly talks about veggies, complete with free samples.

We’ve Put Down Roots. You Can, Too

Is there still time to put down roots in our community? Yes. Right now, we have approximately 159 new home opportunities with builders David Weekley Homes, Perry Homes, Westin Homes, Coventry Homes, Tri Pointe Homes, and custom homes by Partners in Building. Just visit their model homes to discover your perfect floor plan or move-in ready home.

See How We’ve Grown

We’re proud of what we’ve grown in Richmond, TX — and excited for the neighbors that haven’t arrived yet. Could one of them be you? Come spend time with us, meet our builders, and see if you are ready to grow with us.
