Keeping the Virtual Fun Going On

Abria Anderson, our talented Director of Fun, has been coming up with ways to keep our community connected, engaged and having fun even as they try to navigate working from home, teaching their children and staying healthy.

Each week, she sends out a calendar of fun daily activities residents can participate in. These activities include crafts, challenges, story hours and online exercise classes taught  by the Harvest Green fitness staff.

Last week, residents were encouraged to submit videos of them singing, dancing, playing instruments, performing magic, juggling and more for a virtual “Harvest Green’s Got Talent.” Residents were able to vote and prizes were awarded.

This week, children are being encouraged to create rainbows for their windows to bring hope and joy to their neighbors. Families can test their knowledge with an online trivia contest. Exercise classes include yoga and Zumba for kids as well as yoga and strength training for adults.

In addition to Abria’s efforts and those of our Director of Fitness Kory Johnson, our Farm Educators are hard at work on our Village Farm taking care of our crops. We are so lucky to have such dedicated people staffing our community and looking after the welfare of our residents.

We’re looking forward to the day when our families can again gather together in person on the farm and at our Farmhouse; until then we will do our best to help them stay connected socially. Want to become part of our community? Get started with a virtual tour of our model homes.
