Sip, Sip, Hooray!

We’ve got some news and there’s no way we can keep it bottled up! Messina Hof — Texas’ largest wine producer — is about to break ground on the largest winery in Houston. Guess where?

Yep. We’re on “cloud wine,” you might say. Later this year, Messina Hof will break ground on the Harvest Green Winery and Kitchen, making all of our chardonnay dreams come true.

The winery, which will feature a sustainable design with water recapturing technology, will include a tasting room, wine bar and open-kitchen restaurant that will seat approximately 130 indoors. The restaurant will incorporate fresh produce grown from our on-site gardens and the Village Farm. Talk about farm-to-table!

There will also be a 2,600-square-foot covered patio for larger, private events and group tastings plus two private tasting rooms for corporate use, group bookings and private dining. Eventually, Messina Hof plans to add a large indoor event space and “limited” lodging.

Even more exciting, grape harvesting, processing aging wine, bottling and shipping bottles will take place on-site. You’ll also be able to pick up your wine club shipments.

Cabernet? More like, caber-yay! Read all about it!
