Celebrate Cajun & Crawfish with CAM April 28

Looking to get your Cajun on? We’re celebrating all things Louisiana with a crawfish boil, music, art and more from 2-6 p.m. Sunday April 28.

Join us — rain or shine —at the Farmhouse event lawn, 3400 Harvest Corner Drive. Zydeco band RaaRaaZydecowill serve as the musical backdrop for Louisiana-inspired work from local artists and live painting courtesy of our friends at the Contemporary Art Museum Fort Bend.

Admission is free. Crawfish and traditional sides will be available for purchase from Southern Select Crawfish. Renegade Kitchen & Cateringwill serve up classic Creole cooking.

In between peeling, dancing and playing, be sure pay a visit to our new bovine beauties. No, we aren’t going into the cattle business (although the goats are all for it). Instead we’ve installed a colorful cow art display as part of Houston’s Largest Home Tour. Bring your camera — these Instagram-worthy cows are going to look great with your family.

The annual tour, sponsored by Johnson Development, encourages the public to tour hundreds of model homes and available homes in 13 Johnson communities throughout April. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and noon to 6 p.m. Sundays. Admission is free.
