Brews and Pups = Happiness April 7
We can think of a lot of things that make people happy but exercise, beer and dogs pretty much top the list. If they top yours, then you won’t want to miss Pilates, Pints and Pups 3-5 p.m. Sunday, April 7.
Sign up for an awesome 60-minute Pilates class (you’ll really feel those abdominal muscles) taught by a member of our fitness team at the Farmhouse, 3400 Harvest Corner Drive. The class is $15 and takes place rain or shine from 3-4 p.m. The class is free for residents.
Found a fur-ever friend? Fort Bend Pets Alive offers same day adoptions! Pup Squad will take applications and set up a home visit for prospective "paw-rents."
Following the workout, you can indulge in “yappy hour” from 4-5 p.m. with beer from Eureka Heights Brewing Company and shelter dogs from Fort Bend Pets Alive and Pup Squad Animal Rescue . You don’t have to take the class to play with the pups but if you do, you get to take home a custom Harvest Green pint glass!
Procedes will benefit Pup Squad Animal Rescue shelters orphaned puppies and nursing litters and then matches them with permanent adoptive homes.
Fort Bend Pets Alive is a non-profit, focusing its efforts on raising awareness for animal welfare. The organization hopes to make Fort Bend County a "no kill" community.
While you’re here, you might want to see our new herd of colorful cows. Not real cows, but a fun art installation perfect for family photos or selfies.
The cows and the event are part of Houston’s Largest Home Tour. Throughout April, 13 Houston-area communities — all by our developer Johnson Development —will open hundreds of model homes and available homes for sale daily.
Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and noon to 6 p.m. Sundays. Admission is free.
