 Color Your Weekend with Us Aug. 31-Sept. 2If you still haven’t nailed down you Labor Day weekend plans, come to Harvest Green for COLOR YOUR WEEKEND! Everything at the Farmhouse, 3400 Harvest Corner Drive, will start out white and end in color Friday, Aug. 31, through Sunday, Sept 2. Our free, three-day art extravaganza — which we are presenting in partnership with the Contemporary Art Museum Fort Bend — is a chance to watch professional artists create while enjoying live music, food, art activities and fun. The event kicks off on Friday, Aug. 31, with an adults-only VIP White Linen party from 7 to 10 p.m. Adults age 21+ are invited to wear white, meet the artists and watch as they turn vinyl squares into works of art. The evening also kicks off a three-day silent auction where art lovers can bid on the works as they emerge. While browsing, guests will be treated to drinks, music by Marisela y su Son Karibe, unlimited bites by Fuego y Romance BBQ Catering Show and a Kendra Scott Raffle! Tickets are $20 and include one drink ticket. The proceeds benefit the Contemporary Art Museum. Click here for tickets! Everyone can join in the fun from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 1. Artists will be putting the finishing touches on their vinyls for everyone to see. In addition, there will be a tie-dye station (bring your own t-shirt), live music, art market and more. Food trucks Curbside Sliderz, Sur Latin Fusion and The Cool Bus will be on hand with food for purchase. Admission is free and open to the public. On Sunday, Sept. 2, the free activities continue with our “Community Coloring Day” from noon to 4 p.m. We will supply everyone with sketch and coloring books as well as markers, paints, pencils and other supplies. Professional artists will be on hand to meet, greet and advise you. In addition, they will orchestrate the creation of a large community mural.
