Engineering for Kids Summer Camp

5-8yrs old
The Junior Chemical Engineering camp introduce our youngest engineers to the foundational concepts of solids, liquids, and solutions through fun, hands-on exploration. Students investigate the properties of several crazy concoctions and learn how everyday materials can behave in surprising ways. Throughout the program, they experiment with safe chemical reactions, test different mixtures, and create their own samples of bubbles, play dough, flub, and more. By observing, measuring, and comparing their creations, children build early scientific thinking skills while discovering that chemistry is both exciting and approachable.

Day 1: Bubble Bliss and Wacky Wands
Day 2: Foaming Fun and Hot & Cold
Day 3: Primary Colors and Chromatography
Day 4: Secret Inkers and Shiny Pennies
Day 5: Flub and Oobleck

8-14yrs old
As our world faces growing environmental challenges, engineers play a critical role in developing innovative solutions to protect our planet. Environmental engineers tackle issues like air and water pollution, renewable energy, and sustainable design to create a healthier future for all living things. In this program, students will take on real-world engineering challenges, using their creativity and problem-solving skills to design systems that reduce waste, harness clean energy, and improve sustainability. Through hands-on experiments and collaborative projects, they'll think like engineers, testing and refining their ideas to make a lasting impact on the world around them.
