It’s Time to OutRun Hunger!

If you’re ready to enjoy fresh air, exercise and a chance to do something good for the world, have we got an event for you! The 6th annual OutRun Hunger 5K Family Walk & Run benefiting the East Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry returns to Harvest Green Saturday, Oct. 7.

Registration is now open for the race, which takes place at the Farmhouse, 3400 Harvest Corner Drive. It will begin with an 8:30 a.m. Kid’s Run, followed by the Family 5K race at 9 a.m. The race fee is $15 for the Kid’s Run and $25 for the 5K until Sept. 1 after which the fee for the 5K will increase to $30.

New this year will be a "Run and Fundraise" option that allows people to sponsor you! There will be prizes for the top three fundraisers. All proceeds benefit the East Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry.

The top three finishers in each age bracket will receive medals. Make sure you join us for the post-race party. There will be a bounce house, face painters, vendors and balloons — not to mention a lot of high-fiving to celebrate.

Memorial Hermann Sugar Land will be the title sponsor for the second year in a row. Many more opportunities are available with four levels of sponsorship — bronze for $100; silver, $300; gold, $500; and platinum, $1,000. Each level of sponsorship receives several entries, name or logo printed on the race t-shirt, mentions in social media and a vendor booth at the post-race party.

Last year, the race raised $30,000 for local families living in East Fort Bend County. The money raised helped Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry provide food and financial assistance to children, families and seniors. We’re hoping to raise even more for them this year!

Help us reach our goal by signing up to run, walk or sponsor today!
