Please Welcome New Lifestyle Director Nicole Hayes

Nicole Hayes, our new lifestyle director, is jumping into event planning with both feet, determined to craft events that turn neighbors into friends.

The New Mexico native has taken on the job of planning a full schedule of recreational events and activities for our residents. This full time programming may seem daunting for some, but with Nicole’s background, it should be a piece of cake.

“I grew up with my mom always being the ‘hostess with the mostest,’ so the events and parties were always at our house,” Nicole said. “When I was offered my previous lifestyle position and got to plan my first event, I instantly fell in love. I shortly after planned our wedding and fell even more in love with event planning — I even picked up wedding planning as a side gig to have more events in my life. That’s when I discovered it was my passion and what I craved doing.”

Cheerful and athletic, Nicole earned a scholarship to Sam Houston State University where she competed as a high jumper and heptathlete. After receiving her bachelor’s degree in

kinesiology and exercise science with a minor in marketing, she went right to work as a lifestyle director, most recently at Long Meadow Farms.

“I have been a Lifestyle Director at a master-planned community for five years,” she said. “I have planned a variety of events of all sizes including food truck nights, dinner socials, holiday events, bingo and dive-in movies, to name a few.”

Nicole is excited to create and be a part of our residents’ experiences and memories.

“I love helping residents fully embrace their community and get to know their neighbors,” she said. “It’s an honor to be a part of the lives of so many people and help them to create lasting memories with their friends and families.”

Nicole said she loves planning all types of events but organizing ones for adults is a favorite.

“It is extra special when I get to see adults letting loose and enjoying themselves amongst the chaos of life,” she said. “It’s like they are kids again and get to tune out the rest of the world and just be in the moment among friends and neighbors. The smiling faces, stories and laughs are unmatched.”

She has a lot of ideas for bringing our residents together as a community.

“I plan to keep Harvest Green one of the best communities to live in,” she said. “I plan to bring back some of the residents’ favorite events as well as new ones while also incorporating the many amenities Harvest Green has to offer. I would love to hear from the residents on events they have loved and what events they would like to see in the future.”
