Two Market Days Are Better Than One
Can’t get enough of our Harvest Green Farmers Market? We have good news for you. The market is now open two Saturdays a month!
The market, located at 8939 Harlem Road, is open from 8 a.m. to noon on the first and third Saturdays of each month. The dates for this month are Nov. 6 and 20.
The change of schedule will help shoppers source local goods — which is sometimes tough to do. Our growing list of vendors makes it easy.
Right now, you can find 10 to 12 vendors offering farm-fresh produce, meats, eggs, honey and artisanal products. We plan to grow that number to 30.
Among the regulars are our own Village Farm as well as Wheeler Family Farms offering organically fed eggs and poultry, Statkar Farms known for their Wagyu beef and honey producers Nando’s Honey.
Chai’s Kitchen, Wooden Whisk Patisserie, Pead’s Beauty and Curb to Compost also make regular appearances.
Messina Hof, which opened The Harvest Green Winery & Kitchen in February, supports the market and offers jams, sauce and sparkling juice for sale.
We are focused on building a market that highlights local, sustainable agriculture-based businesses where vendors are either directly producing food or working with local produce and ingredients to feed the community.
Eventually, we hope to offer a weekly market, so you’ve always have the makings of a farm-fresh dinner in your refrigerator.
