Seeking Sponsors to Help OutRun Hunger

If your business or family is looking for a good cause to sponsor, have we got a great one for you. Our annual OutRun Hunger 5K Family Walk and Run is going virtual but we still need your help.

The race, which will take place Sept. 25-30, has four levels of sponsorship available: bronze for $100; silver, $300; gold, $500; and platinum, $1,000. Sponsors’ company logo or family name will be printed on the race T-shirt and will be promoted via social media and on the OutRun Hunger website. All of the proceeds benefit East Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry.

In a non-pandemic year, the race would have been run in our community, as it has been for the past two years. For the safety of everyone, EFBHNM decided to run a virtual race. We are doing everything we can to help and we urge others to get involved as well.

Current sponsors include Hunting Subsea Technologies, Earthcare Management, the Perrin family, Ted and Jennifer Waggoner, Springtime Property Group and AMW.

“Runners can run or walk any time they want between Sept. 25 and 30,” said Stacey Williams, development director for East Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry. “They can run around their neighborhood or on the treadmill. They can make it work for them.”

East Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry has seen a surge in the number of people in need of assistance, Williams said. From mid-March until the end of May, the ministry served nearly 25,000 people and continues to serve hundreds of families each month.

To learn more about the race and to become a sponsor visit the OutRun Hunger website.
