Harlem Road Park Now Open

At long last, Harlem Road Park is open, offering even more opportunities for Harvest Green residents to hone their sports skills.

The Richmond park was officially opened during a ribbon-cutting ceremony held Nov. 2. To celebrate, Lamar Little League teams — the Yankees and the Giants — played a T-ball game. Juventus Academy Houston also hosted the first soccer game at the park.

Harlem Road Park features concession stands, restrooms and a storage facility. There are lights for evening games on two baseball and two multi-purpose fields.

The parcel of land was used to help with staging and debris removal during the height of Harvey recovery. Precinct 3 Commissioner Andy Meyers suggested its use as a new community park. It is located just east of Pecan Grove at 701 Harlem Rd, Richmond, TX 77406.

We congratulate the City of Richmond and our residents look forward to watching their children play their first games there.
