Harvest Green to Welcome Kung Fu Tea

Harvest Green to Welcome Kung Fu Tea

Looking for a break from coffee? The Shops at Harvest Green is brewing up an alternative that might just fit you to a “tea.”

New York-based Kung Fu Tea has leased 1,208 square feet in the shopping center located at 11020 Harlem Road near our front entrance.

If you haven’t heard of them, Kung Fu Tea specializes in authentic, Taiwanese bubble tea. Served either hot or cold, the drink is traditionally made with a tea base, fruit or milk and chewy tapioca pearls. You can choose from among black, green, or oolong teas; name the percentage of sweetness, including no sugar, and specify just how much ice you’d like in your glass.

Unlike other bubble tea shops, Kung Fu Tea uses tea leaves from the mountains of Taiwan in their tea, which is brewed fresh every three hours. The “bubbles” are made in-house, every two hours, from an all-natural combination of tapioca, brown sugar and honey.

No word yet on when they will open, but we think Kung Fu Tea will be a refreshing addition to the other tenants, especially Burgerim, which allows you to create your own mini-burgers. Also slated to open soon are National Dry Cleaners and Highland Dental office.

And don’t forget about the new Flix Brewhouse opening next year in the Hub at Harvest Green, a 300,000-square-foot upscale shopping, dining and entertainment project planned at Grand Parkway and West Airport Boulevard.
