Harvest Green's New Onsite Lifestyle Director To Plan Farm-to-Table Dinners, Cooking Classes and More

HOUSTON, TX (June 02, 2015) – Harvest Green will hire an onsite Lifestyle Director to plan resident-only culinary classes, farm-to-table dinners with guest chefs, wine dinners, gardening classes and other activities befitting Houston’s first master-planned community with an onsite farm, community and backyard gardens.

            Located on the Grand Parkway at West Airport Boulevard, Harvest Green is a 1,300-acre master-planned community under development by The Johnson Development Corp., now celebrating its 40th year as one of the nation’s preeminent land developers.    

“Our Lifestyle Director will play a key role in presenting Harvest Green residents with events and activities including those that tie in to farm-fresh produce,” says Harvest Green General Manager Shay Shafie.

Activities such as personalized wellness programs, fun runs and walks will be planned for residents of all ages. Children also can participate in merit badge programs focusing on cooking classes, geocaching, archery, kayaking and camping.
            Harvest Green has partnered with NFC Amenity Management, a national renowned provider of residential lifestyle and amenity services, to hire the community’s Lifestyle Director. NFC Amenity Management also will oversee the community’s concierge service which can arrange for cleaning, pet care and other services. It also will be a resident resource for dinner reservations, event tickets and recommended home repair professionals.

            Builders in Harvest Green will be announced in the coming weeks with sales beginning this summer. Model homes are scheduled to open in the fall. Ultimately, Harvest Green will offer up to 2,000 new homes.

Families in Harvest Green will attend schools in the Fort Bend Independent School District, including Travis High School and James Bowie Middle School located within the community. Another site in Harvest Green has been reserved for a new Fort Bend ISD elementary school.
