![]() Peas, Love, and Camping Under the Stars Sept. 13-14Families, are you ready to squash your weekend plans and make room for stargazing, outdoor cooking, and all the s’mores you can handle? Then mark your calendar for the Harvest Green Family Weekend, 5 p.m. to 9 a.m. Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 13 to 14. Hosted by the Cub Scouts, this is an opportunity to explore the outdoors and create unforgettable memories. The best part? It’s open to the public, current Scouting families, and those curious to know what Scouting is all about. What can you do? First up, pitch your tent and get ready to sleep under a blanket of stars, lulled by the bedtime soundtrack of chirping crickets. Then have a bushel of fun with games, nature hikes, and more while learning some “tree-mendously” fun facts about the great outdoors. What’s camping without a delicious outdoor meal? If you’ve never done it, prepare to be impressed. Finish the evening with ooey, gooey s’mores. But wait, there’s more! While the kids are busy earning their first Cub Scout patch, parents can learn what all the Cub Scout buzz is about at an optional info session designed to spill the beans on Scouting, including what it’s about, how to join, and why it’s an awesome opportunity for the whole family. To make the most of this event, you’ll want to pack your tent, sleeping bags, camping gear, and spirit of adventure. Whether you’re a seasoned camper or new to it all, this weekend is going to be “s’more” fun than you can shake a marshmallow stick at. See you there! |
